Emily C. Watkins Elementary School

One of our newer ministries is our outreach to the Emily C. Watkins Elementary School.

Emily Watkins is a public school located in LaPlace that has a high percentage of children with limited resources.

Each school year, the Galilean works with school administrators to identify what supplies are needed. From notebooks to paper to school uniforms, it is our privilege to step in and provide assistance to our community.

And it’s not only about supplies…..throughout the year members of the Galilean participate in activities at the school. From helping staff their annual trunk-or-treat event, to participating in their spring day and holiday cookie party, the Galilean is always ready step in and help however we can.

The Galilean also supports the Watkins Positive Behavior Incentive System (PBIS) by making sure the rewards store is stocked all year long.
