Leonard Church entered into eternal rest on September 24, 2024, 18 days before his 102nd birthday. He was born October 12, 1922 in New Jersey. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII on a minesweeper in the Pacific. He was married to the late Elizabeth Church. He was a father to the late Linda Church. He is survived by his daughter, Janice Church and his grandson David Hochstein.
Family and friends are invited to attend a service celebrating his life on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at Millet Guidry Funeral Home, 2806 W. Airline Hwy, LaPlace, Louisiana. Viewing will begin at 11:00 am and a memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon.
In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to either Galilean Lutheran Church in appreciation for the years of fellowship and spiritual support, or the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Home Activity Fund to thank them for the fun, music and dancing that he enjoyed so much.
